The MUD/Unidad Venezuela website is defaced for the second time in August 2017
On August 6, 2017, the Mesa de la Unidad Democrática website was reported to have been hacked for the second time in less than a month. El Carabobeno featured a video of a speech by Jean-Luc Mélenchon on Venezuela and cited messages from Unidad Venezuela denouncing the hack. No reliable public attribution to The Binary Guardians was found.
The MUD/Unidad Venezuela website is defaced ahead of the Constituent Assembly election
Between the night of July 28 and the morning of July 29–30, 2017, the Mesa de la Unidad Democrática’s website, unidadvenezuela.org, was reported to have been hacked. Sources describe political messages visible on the page, including an image of Donald Trump and slogans against an alleged coup; La Prensa Panama reported another visible message: “Democracy cannot be hacked. The Constituent Assembly is a fraud.” No reliable public attribution to The Binary Guardians was found.
