In December 2024, a threat actor (alias rootkik) claimed to have breached the database of Districueros el Canguro C.A. (CANGURO CA), a Venezuelan technology retailer. The actor posted on a forum/marketplace claiming to possess approximately 50,000 records, including email addresses, phone numbers, and names. The claim has not been confirmed by the victim, a regulator/CERT, or an independent forensic report.
