x00x01x01 reports an attack against Fibex Telecom, C.A.

On April 7, 2026, a threat actor using the identifier x00x01x01 (@x00x01x01) gained unauthorized access to Fibex Telecom’s customer management systems, specifically targeting the SMARTOLT (GPON and OLT systems). The attacker posted screenshots of the administration panel, threatened to disrupt services for more than 390,000 users, and alleged that Fibex routes customer traffic through Chinese devices at Cantv using deep packet inspection (DPI). While Fibex Telecom confirmed a vulnerability in the third-party Smartolt software, the company officially denied that its core systems had been completely hacked.
