The Venezuelan National Assembly publicly reported that its website had been the target of a cyberattack and that it would publish its updates on Telegram while the site remained down. White_Hunters/Anonymous had claimed responsibility for an attack on associated domains days earlier. There is no public evidence of a data breach.

YourAnonTV claimed responsibility for a DDoS attack against asambleanacional.gob.ve on August 1, 2024, and El Vigilante Web listed it among the sites that went down. There has been no statement from the National Assembly regarding this specific incident, nor were any data compromised.
Hack of the social media accounts of the Venezuelan National Assembly and Capitolio TV
On January 15, 2018, the Twitter and Instagram accounts and the YouTube channel of the Venezuelan National Assembly, as well as its parliamentary channel Capitolio TV, were compromised and fell out of the Assembly’s control. The hijacking of the accounts prevented the live broadcast of legislative sessions, affecting some 121,000 YouTube subscribers and more than 11,000 Twitter followers. The media outlet’s management announced that they would provide updates on alternative channels while resolving the issue. No specific perpetrator was publicly identified; the incident occurred amid ongoing pressure against the opposition-controlled Parliament.

On August 7, 2017, the National Assembly reported on its official account that its website had been hacked. The site also appears on public and technical lists of targets affected by The Binary Guardians during the campaign linked to the Operation David message. There is no public evidence of data exfiltration.
